If  you haven’t already please go back to the beginning post and start reading there so you can catch up to where the rest of us are.  There are a few steps you need to take.  Now to get back to where we left off before we were rudely interrupted by my computer deciding not to work and taking days and days to get working again.  It still isn’t perfect but I can now do the basics again.

Now that we have a domain and a host we will need to put a squeeze page or landing page up on the internet so anyone interested in our niche will be directed there to see what we have to offer and why.  So if you haven’t already done so go to my landing page at  http://myoptinpage2.com/?pid=5808712 check it out and sign in.  You will then get a e-mail that I have loaded in my autoresponder that is automatically sent out to anyone who signs my landing page.  This will be a welcome letter and a survey to fill out that will give me a better idea about what your needs and abilities are.  So go do that and I  will see you on the other side in virtual reality.  That is where all us Ninja Marketers communicate and have a great time making money and friends.

Yesterday we left off at the importance of the “list”.  Now in order to get to the step of getting your list populated we will need to talk about two steps that will become part of the foundation of your niche business.  The first is called a Domain and the second is called your Host. Now your Domain is the name you are going to choose for your niche business.  An example would be my domain which is BeginningInternetMarketers.com   A couple of things I want to bring to your attention here:  First is that the domain name should be directly related to the niche you choose.  In this case it is exactly the niche as I am wanting to reach any person who is beginning to become a internet marketer or at least interested in knowing what it is about.  The second thing is that there are no spaces between the words, and the third is that it says .com.   It is important when you choose your domain name to use the .com this is the most popular and what most people are used to.  Now go to godaddy.com and begin to select the domain name for you.  It is best to choose the 2 yr. payment and for the beginning don’t accept any of there other offers.  Start out simple.  See you tomorrow and we will talk about Hosting.  Most of all remember to have fun.  Don’t make it complicated.

Here we are today with a brilliant rainbow out my office window in sunny/misty Maui.  Today we are going to give a very simple overview of “your list”.  This is the bread and butter of your internet marketing world.  Your list will be the most valuable aspect of your business.  When you eventually build a big list that is loyal to you and trusts you, your business will be bringing you a steady income.  You will develop a list by appealing to a specific niche, which by now you should have chosen, and directing them to a squeeze page, also known as a landing page, also known as an opt-in page, etc. where they will be told what you are going to share with them and why it is what they are looking for.  Once they sign this page and give you their name and e-mail they have given you the permission to send them information.  In fact they are giving you their info because you have promised them something when they do.  So…this ever growing list will become the foundation of your internet marketing endeavor.  Now you can develop as many lists for as many niches that you choose.  Just remember do one at a time, because it will take some experience and some  time each day to maintain.  For the most part you will be on auto pilot but it will take some effort each day.  But don’t worry you will be laughing all the way to pay-pal.  If you don’t know what that is you will, trust me!  Tune in tomorrow and you will find out where this infamous “list” lives and what you will do with it.  Oh yeah,  in weeks to come we will also talk about the 17 + ways you will direct “traffic” (potential opt-iners) to your squeeze page.  See you then my loyal newbies….

Today we will start with an very basic overview of what Internet Marketing is about.  The very first step in beginning this process is to decide what your niche of interest is.  What is it that you are skilled at doing or perhaps a subject of field that you are very knowledgeable about.  This can be anything, stamp collecting, dog training, basket weaving, photography, etc.  What is most important however, is that you need to reduce each niche to a specific area of that niche.  An example might be for basket weaving, focusing of a specific time period of American Indian basket weaving, or a particular tribes basket weaving, or a how to weave  a specific kind of basket.  So we must be specific within the niche that we choose.  Next we have to define who is it that we wish to market to within that specific niche.  We want to define who and what that person is, so you can provide for them what they specifically want.  We will briefly cover the next step of importance in my next post.  Over time we will go into each step with great detail and I can guide you to the best teachers to learn each step from.  Sometimes it will be myself and other times it will be people that I have identified as experts in each field.  I will do my best to post everyday so keep checking for each days update.  In the meantime take some action and start thinking about what you are passionate about, what area or arena you would like to focus on an eventually develop a marketing system for.  Don’t worry about what or how you will market to them.  For now just focus on identifying what you marketing niche will be.  Tomorrow we will talk a bit about the infamous “list”.

Internet Marketing is not for everyone, however, with the right direction just about anyone can do it or at least have someone do it for them.  I have lately been considering setting up a marketing system for people in whatever niche their passion lies in.  It works best when the marketing system is designed around a specific part of a niche.  The more specific the better.  The truth is that it really depends on one’s head set before entering and learning internet marketing.  It can either be very complicated or very simple.  I like to keep it simple, one step at a time.  As one masters or feels comfortable with one aspect then add another.  From my point of view it is not that hard to learn and if you get the right mentor and guide who can get you in front of the right teachers for the various aspects of the internet marketing game it can actually be quite easy and fun to learn.  It certainly is quite lucrative when done and approached in the proper way.

In my continuing blogs I will start talking about the various steps one at a time to begin the process of becoming a internet marketer and being successful.

Probably the best advice I have been given in my internet marketing education is to find the successful marketers and learn what they do.  And take it one step at a time.

So little by little, step by step we will unravel this system and investigate the secrets of the master internet gurus.
